People’s Education Society Institute of Technology(P.E.S. Institute of Technology or PESIT) is a private technical co-educational college located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Established in 1963, PESIT has 11 departments in engineering, one school in architecture, and a Master of Computer Applications department. It is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The undergraduate courses are granted academic autonomy by the university. PESIT is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), all its departments are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and its school of Architecture is accredited by the Council of Architecture (COA). Seats in Each stream will be filled based on the approved intake by the VTU and as per the Guideline s of the Government as given below:

* Through COMEDK ( http://www.comedk.org ) 25% of the Approved Intake
* Management Seats 20% of the Approved Intake

Admission criteria
PESIT admits students to undergraduate courses based on their Karnataka CET or their COMED-K UGET test ranks. PESIT also admits students under Management quota, which does not place any merit requirements. There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can directly enter the second year of study in engineering. On graduating students receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
